Heck yeah! 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition revealed

Share

Leave it to the Hoonigan himself, Ken Block, to introduce the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition by doing donuts in the desert. Yeah, that’s going to get people’s attention!

The RAM 1500 TRX is a one heck of a blast to drive with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, tons of suspension benefits and the awesome launch button. Oh and it is a jump landing mode as well. Really.

Taking things up a “Block” is the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast edition. Well known racing enthusiast Ken Block debuted the new truck for Ram through his social media channels and put it through the paces. He knows a thing or two about the TRX since he owns one.

What is the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition?

Starting with the exterior, the new Mojave Sand exterior color and graphics alert you to something is different. Then there are unique 18-inch all-black beadlock capable wheels, dual pane panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, bed step, cargo tie downs and LED cab-mounted brake light.

Inside, there is Light Frost accent stitching, embroidered TRX seat back logo, unique carbon fiber accents, a leather and carbon-fiber flat-bottom steering wheel, unique center console badge, heads-up display and a driver’s screen that features TRX in Mojave Sand.

There are also standard safety features like adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist and pedestrian emergency braking.

Oh and yeah, it still has the Raptor eating 6.2-liter V8 producing 702 HP under the hood.

Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starts at $98,285, plus $1,795 destination.

New 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition models go on sale this summer.

The bottom line

A unique color, badging, styling accents and being associated with Ken Block all seem like a home run, again, for the Ram 1500 TRX. This truck should generate even more interest in the brand and, frankly, for good reason. The TRX is one of those special trucks that comes along every once in a while.
