We Talk Cars is here!

GERING, Neb. — We Talk Media today announced the launch of We Talk Cars, a new automotive website and media outlet focused on vehicle reviews, comparisons, reliability reporting and consumer-focused automotive news.

The new outlet expands upon the success of Pickup Truck + SUV Talk, an independent automotive publication founded by Tim Esterdahl that covers pickup trucks, SUVs, towing, and automotive industry news. Over the past several years, Pickup Truck + SUV Talk has grown into a multi-platform media brand with a website, YouTube channel, social media presence, and podcast reaching millions of automotive enthusiasts and vehicle shoppers annually.

The launch comes as independent automotive journalism continues to shrink, with We Talk Cars focusing on consumer-first reporting, long-term ownership, reliability, comparisons, and buying advice.

“Many of our readers and viewers own more than just trucks,” said Tim Esterdahl, founder of We Talk Media. “We Talk Cars allows us to expand our coverage and apply the same straightforward, consumer-focused approach to cars, crossovers, and unibody SUVs that has made Pickup Truck +SUV Talk successful.”

The website launches with more than 100 articles covering vehicle comparisons, reliability reporting, owner-focused reviews, and automotive news. Dedicated social media channels and video content will complement the website, providing audiences with additional ways to engage with the brand.

We Talk Cars will be supported by a growing team of automotive journalists, editors, and content creators with decades of combined industry experience.

The launch represents the first step in We Talk Media’s long-term strategy to build a portfolio of specialized automotive media brands serving vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and shoppers.

Whew. Looks like everything went off without a hiccup. That's actually pretty amazing.

Behind the scenes, this has been a thought for about 12 months. Now, that the team has grown to about 10 active people, I finally had the resources to put into it.

For context, most automotive outlets open up with a handful of posts and 1 maybe 2 other writers. We have 129 posts live today and more scheduled for the coming days and into next week. The Tim Talks Cars YouTube channel has been rebranded and there are two videos ready to go with more coming next week. I'm going to spend the rest of today setting up and scheduling social media posts. We could have enough for Facebook for the next 60 days or more if we run a few each day. That's a TON of content coming your way.

Basically, we dropped a content bomb on Google. It is going to be a while until the bots can catch up indexing all the pages.

So far, things are being very well received. People are going to the site, clicking on stories and seeing what it is all about. I finding only a handful of very minor things I need to correct. Not bad. This last 4-6 weeks has been taxing running both sites essentially. This past week and the last few days has been very taxing on my mental and physical health. Many rough nights of sleep.

The question racking my brain has been all about success. We Talk Cars will be successful. The answer that nobody knows is how successful. That has kept me up at night.

Oh and btw, I'm not done. I bought an additional 9-10 more domains. The new company is We Talk Media and once We Talk Cars proves itself, I'm going to expand again and again and again. Smart growth when the timing is right.
