Not many people are lucky enough to live off the grid with the freedom to go wherever they’d like. For those with the means and the wanderlust, EarthCruiser has homes on wheels that will make your ordinary RV look like a Barbie dollhouse.

The newest EC is the Terranova expedition vehicle which makes its debut later this month.

Multi-function living

The Terranova will differ from the original FX and EXP Expedition models in that it will be built on a Ford, Chevy or Ram 1-ton pickup truck chassis. The new style will be easier to drive and park in town when you need to make a grocery run, but it will still be able to handle almost any terrain.

This is a no-compromise expedition lifestyle vehicle.

Another added benefit of the over-cab expedition vehicle is the already familiar and proven pickup trucks they are built on. That also means these trucks will be more easily serviced.

Tough on the outside, generous on the inside

Made from a combination of fiberglass and marine-grade materials, the EC Terranova is designed to last and perform in extreme temperatures and conditions.

While the original FX and EXP models were all about durability and function, the Terranova brings an element of style to the interior without compromise. It is sleek, minimalist and beautiful — a space to enjoy life.

The roomy 360-degree over-cab sleeping space is a loft surrounded by windows. It boasts a queen-sized bed and plenty of space to stretch out.

The pop-up roof provides added height so people up to 6-foot 5-inches tall can stand in the hallway, and sit up in bed, comfortably.

The eight windows provide a 360-degree panoramic view and include insect, privacy screens and clear vinyl protective layers. “The Loft” also features power stations to charge your devices, ambient reading lights for all the books you’ll read when you don’t have cable TV and small cubbies to store bedside items.

Multi-function lounge area

Leather cushions, integrated storage and enough seating and table area to seat four adults and one child means you have plenty of room in your dinette to eat, play games or visit. The table is adjustable and can be used as a desk — for those who work or study remotely — or as extra counter space for food prep. The area also converts into additional sleeping, creating a 76-inch-long bed.

Personally, I love the moveable storage stairs. They’re storage drawers that pull out to create a ladder to reach the sleeping loft. Talk about multipurpose!
