Toyota Snowhunter concepts put five familiar trucks and SUVs on snow tracks for SEMA 2026. The question is which one you would take into the backcountry.

Toyota’s Oct. 27 announcement describes CALTY-designed builds with winter camouflage, Rigid lighting and Toyota/TRD lift components. Here is what separates the five.

1. Toyota Tundra Snowhunter

The Tundra gets the TrailLift Pro Rack System Concept. Its upper rack lowers for loading gear. TRD rear billet control arms and Predator Step are also included.

The loading system is the detail that interests us most. Getting a heavy kayak overhead can be a chore even before adding a suspension lift. We would want to know its weight limit and how it locks in place.

2. Toyota Tacoma Snowhunter

Tacoma adds roof and bed racks, MOLLE panels, an awning, storage, recovery equipment and bed lighting.

That makes cargo organization the talking point here. How easily can you reach essential recovery gear when the bed is packed? A closer look at the finished setup would help answer that.

3. Toyota 4Runner Snowhunter

The 4Runner combines Toyota rock rails with a Prinsu roof rack and Thule Pulse 2 cargo box.

For an enclosed SUV, packing becomes a balance between accessible equipment and space for passengers. A roof box raises another practical question: how do you load it comfortably in winter clothing?

4. Toyota Land Cruiser Snowhunter

Land Cruiser uses rock rails, skid plates, a Prinsu rack and a Thule SnowPack ski carrier.

It is a very different direction from the classic Land Cruiser restomod we covered ahead of SEMA 2025. That contrast is part of the appeal of following these show builds.

5. Toyota Sequoia Snowhunter

Sequoia adds a TRD front skid plate, aluminum running boards, a Prinsu rack and Thule Pulse 2 box.

For family adventures, our questions would include access to gear with every seat occupied and how much equipment can be carried within the vehicle’s loading limits.

These are show concepts

Toyota cautions that these prototypes may not be street legal, and modifications can affect warranty coverage, performance and safety. No production plan or pricing is announced.

The snow tracks grab attention. The useful follow-up is what, if anything, owners will eventually be able to buy and how those parts perform in actual use.
