The 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 will start at $41,395 including destination, with pricing climbing to $79,995 for the ZR2. Chevrolet says the new truck brings more standard equipment across the lineup, including larger screens, additional safety features and more equipment built into its higher trims.
Chevy’s advertised starting MSRP is $38,600 for the Work Truck. Add the $2,795 destination freight charge, however, and the entry price moves above $41,000.

Using Chevrolet’s current 2026 starting MSRPs, here’s how the new truck compares. Both years include the $2,795 destination charge; options, taxes and other fees are excluded.

The Work Truck rises $1,700, while the Silverado trim matches the outgoing LT’s starting price. High Country has the largest increase at $8,800, followed by ZR2 at $5,400. Their added standard equipment makes the comparison more involved than the price increases alone suggest.
More standard equipment for 2027
For buyers, the equipment included at each price will be a big part of the story.
Chevrolet says standard features include a 12.2-inch driver information display, a 16.3-inch center screen, LED headlights and taillights, adaptive cruise control, a Safety Alert Seat, front and rear parking assistance, and enhanced automatic emergency braking.
The screens also get GM’s new user interface. It supports a split-view layout that can keep navigation visible alongside other information, and it retains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
At $74,495, the High Country includes more features that buyers previously had to consider adding. Chevrolet lists its upgraded suspension, 22-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof and Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance among the standard equipment.
The ZR2 starts $5,500 higher, at $79,995, and combines off-road hardware with additional cabin features. Standard equipment includes an upgraded suspension with jounce control dampers, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, a 34-gallon fuel tank, underbody cameras, massaging seats and an 11.5-inch front-passenger screen.
Super Cruise is also standard on the ZR2 and available on Silverado and Trail Boss trims. A new Baja drive mode on the ZR2 is designed for driving on fast sand and gravel.
Buyers looking for a less expensive lifted truck can enter the lineup through the $57,195 Custom Trail Boss. Chevrolet expects lifted trims, including Custom Trail Boss, Trail Boss and ZR2, to account for roughly twice the share of sales they do in the current model year.
New engines and arrival timing
The pricing announcement follows news of substantial powertrain changes. The enhanced TurboMax produces 350 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, while the new 5.7-liter V8 makes 402 horsepower and 428 pound-feet. The new 6.6-liter V8 delivers 481 horsepower and 501 pound-feet, and the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel returns with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet. All four engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission; availability varies by trim.
Chevrolet expects deliveries of the 2027 Silverado 1500 to begin later this year.
The starting prices give buyers their first clear look at the cost of the new lineup. The next question is what a truck costs with the engine, cab configuration and packages they actually want. More standard equipment could reduce the need to add options, but a final build price will tell that story better than the base MSRP.
