New Show Rogue Goes Solo to Celebrate Star Wars Premiere

At the Hollywood world premiere of “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” Nissan unveiled this Rogue-based show vehicle that takes inspiration from the iconic Millennium Falcon.

The 2018 Nissan Rogue is riding solo, Hans Solo. In honor of the premiere of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” Nissan has unveiled a custom show vehicle that takes inspiration from the movie, continuing the partnership the automakers started with Disney two years ago.

New Show Rogue Goes Solo to Celebrate Star Wars PremiereNissan teamed up with LucasFilm for the Millennium Falcon inspired design and relied on California-based Vehicle Effects to execute the vision. Unlike other Star Wars series show vehicles that Nissan has displayed during the partnership, the Millennium Falcon themed Rogue is outfitted inside and out.

A roof-mounted radar dish and laser cannon appear as though they were lifted right from the movie set. Up front, the multi-pane windshield clearly resembles that of the on-screen hero.”

It glows blue, while three high-mounted Bose speakers and an 18-in. Bose subwoofer provide an aural experience. Inside and out, the Bose system delivers 1,500 watts.

Its front- and second-row chairs even look like those in the spacecraft. Additional center-mounted “hyperdrive” controls complete the look.

“Solo: A Star Wars Story” is in theaters nationwide on Friday, May 25.
