Ram is no stranger to building attention-grabbing trucks, and the new 2026 Ram 2500 Rebel Lunar Edition may be one of its boldest efforts yet. Combining the off-road-focused Rebel trim with exclusive styling cues, a high-output Cummins diesel and a premium interior, the Lunar Edition is designed to stand out in a crowded heavy-duty truck segment.

The truck I looked at carried a starting MSRP of $93,885 including destination, which immediately raises an obvious question: Has Ram gone too far with pricing, or is this exactly the kind of premium heavy-duty truck buyers want?

Lunar Edition Brings Unique Styling to the Rebel

This first look focused on the truck’s design, features and specifications rather than a driving impression. The Lunar Edition package adds several unique styling elements to the Ram 2500 Rebel, including special Lunar graphics, black 20-inch wheels and aggressive 34-inch off-road tires. Copperhead Orange stitching throughout the cabin provides additional contrast and helps distinguish the truck from a standard Rebel.

The overall appearance package works well with the Rebel’s off-road personality. Between the graphics, blacked-out accents and larger tires, the Lunar Edition has a more exclusive look while maintaining the rugged image expected from a heavy-duty Ram truck.

High-Output Cummins Power Remains the Headline

Under the hood, for this particular truck, is Ram’s 6.7-liter High-Output Cummins turbo-diesel engine producing 430 horsepower and an impressive 1,075 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed through an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

Ram says the truck can tow up to 20,000 pounds while offering roughly 2,500 pounds of payload capacity. The Rebel platform also includes features designed to support both off-road driving and towing, including a rear electronic locking differential, skid plates, hill descent control and available auto-leveling air suspension.

Interior Technology Continues to Impress

Inside, the Lunar Edition benefits from the same upscale cabin design that has helped Ram earn praise in recent years. The truck Tim examined featured the available 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, Harman Kardon audio system and a variety of storage solutions throughout the cabin.

The Copperhead Orange stitching provides a subtle but noticeable contrast against the dark interior surfaces. Combined with the large screens, premium materials and available panoramic sunroof, the cabin feels more luxury vehicle than work truck.

Other notable features include trailer brake controls, HDMI connectivity for the passenger display, multiple USB charging options and Ram’s configurable center console storage system.

The Real Debate Is the Price

For all the capability, technology and unique styling, the biggest conversation surrounding the 2026 Ram 2500 Rebel Lunar Edition will likely center on its price tag.

At nearly $94,000, this truck enters territory once reserved for luxury SUVs and specialty performance vehicles. Buyers are getting a high-output Cummins diesel, premium interior, off-road equipment and an exclusive appearance package, but they’ll also need to decide whether those upgrades justify the cost.

Interestingly, Ram doesn’t offer the Lunar Edition Rebel with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8. Buyers wanting the Lunar Edition package on a Rebel must choose the 6.7-liter High-Output Cummins diesel. Meanwhile, the Power Wagon Lunar Edition remains exclusively paired with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8. That engine strategy helps explain why the Rebel Lunar Edition carries a nearly $94,000 starting price.

Based on my first look, the Lunar Edition certainly succeeds in attracting attention. The styling is distinctive, the specifications are impressive and the interior remains one of the best in the segment. Whether it’s worth nearly six figures is a question that buyers will ultimately have to answer for themselves.
