Mothers High Performance Car Care is one of the best-known names when it comes to keeping your ride looking great. Each year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Mothers is one of the best-represented brands, both at its own company booth and across many other displays in the sprawling convention center. At the 2026 SEMA Show, Mothers rolled out three new products – one addition to its popular California Gold Ceramic paint care line and two that help keep wheels and tires looking great without some of the downsides of competing products.
“People want clean wheels and tires that look freshly dressed, without worrying about whether they’re using the right product,” said Shane Christman, vice president of marketing at Mothers®. “Spray & Shine All Wheel Cleaner takes the guesswork out of cleaning different wheel finishes and sensitive brake components. Back-to-Black Extreme Tire Shine finishes the job with a water-based formula that delivers a rich, glossy look and a dry-to-the-touch feel.”
Mothers Back-to-Black Extreme Tire Shine

The odds are good that if you put any time into making your truck or SUV look great, you have used tire shine a time or two. There is no question that having the sidewalls extra clean and shiny looks great, but many tire shine products have three key issues. First, they often leave the surface of the tires greasy, so they attract dirt and don’t stay looking great for long. Second, some stay wet, and when you drive, the tire shine slings up onto your paint, making your vehicle dirty. Third, some tire shine products contain chemicals that can dry out the rubber, potentially contributing to browning and even cracking in the sidewalls.
Mothers says its new Back-to-Black Extreme Tire Shine is designed to provide a deep, glossy look while addressing those concerns. This new spray is water-based, with a formula designed to protect the rubber from browning without drying out the sidewalls. Best of all, Mothers Back-to-Black Extreme Tire Shine dries to the touch, helping prevent sling while avoiding the greasy layer that can attract dust.
Mothers Back-to-Black Extreme Tire Shine will come in 16-ounce bottles with a suggested retail price of $7.99, and while it is made for tires, it can also be used on a wide variety of components on your truck, including bumpers, trim, moldings and engine hoses.
Mothers Spray & Shine All Wheel Cleaner

No matter what you drive, some of the most difficult things to consistently keep clean on most vehicles are the wheels. Between the collection of dirt from the road and the buildup of brake dust, wheels can quickly become very dirty. When you add heat, that dirt can bake into place, making it quite a project to get the wheels back to their factory shine. Mothers hopes to make this project a bit easier with its new Spray & Shine All Wheel Cleaner.
Mothers Spray & Shine All Wheel Cleaner is engineered to break down and cut through brake dust, grease, dirt and random road grime on all sorts of wheels. The company specifies that this cleaner is “safe on painted, chrome, PVD, anodized, powder-coated, clear-coated, ceramic-coated, polished, rough-cast and billet aluminum wheels,” so it covers pretty much every popular wheel finish option on the market. You spray it on, agitate the cleaner a bit with a brush and rinse it off. It is also designed to be safe for high-end braking systems, including painted Brembo brake calipers and carbon-ceramic rotors on high-performance vehicles.
Mothers Spray & Shine All Wheel Cleaner will come in 24-ounce bottles with a suggested retail price of $9.99.
Mothers California Gold Ceramic Instant Detailer

If you are the kind of person who likes to remove small, dirty spots from your truck or SUV between washes, you are familiar with instant detailer products. They are great for removing things like bird crap or dirt that kicks up from the road. Mothers’ new California Gold Ceramic Instant Detailer provides those same spot-cleaning features, but it also bolsters the protective layer on the surface of the paint as part of the California Gold Ceramic line. In short, not only does it remove dirt from the protected paint surface, but it also helps reinforce that protection.
“Our California Gold® Ceramic Instant Detailer makes ceramic maintenance easy for everyone,” said Shane Christman, vice president of marketing at Mothers. “Whether they’re drying after a wash or touching up before a car show, they can add gloss, slickness and protection with a product that fits naturally into their existing routine.”
California Gold Ceramic Instant Detailer will come in a 16-ounce bottle with a suggested retail price of $17.99. According to Mothers, all three new products begin shipping December 1, 2026.
The Complete California Gold Ceramic Routine

The new Mothers California Gold Ceramic Instant Detailer is part of a line that the company calls the Complete California Gold Ceramic Routine. This routine begins with the California Gold Ceramic Wash & Wax to get the surface nice and clean. Next, the California Gold Ceramic Paint Correction removes imperfections in the paint, followed by either California Gold Ceramic Spray Wax or California Gold Ceramic Spray & Rinse Wax to add a layer of protection to the paint. Finally, the new Instant Detailer keeps the vehicle clean between full washes while also helping maintain and enhance the protection provided by the California Gold Ceramic products.
