The 2027 Nissan Armada gets a new Dark Armor package, giving the SL trim a blacked-out appearance and a panoramic moonroof for an extra $1,900. The full-size SUV is on sale now, with the lineup starting at $66,565 including Nissan’s $2,275 destination charge.
That puts an SL with Dark Armor at $68,465 with rear-wheel drive or $71,465 with four-wheel drive, before taxes, options and dealer fees. Here is what changes and how the package fits into the Armada lineup.
What the Dark Armor package adds

Dark Armor brings black 20-inch wheels, black Nissan and Armada lettering, special badges and dark finishes for the grille, lower fascia, roof rails and window trim. Inside, it adds black leatherette upholstery and dark accents across the dashboard, steering wheel and center console.
The panoramic moonroof is part of the package, too. That makes this more than a badge-and-wheel treatment, although it does not add power or the PRO-4X’s off-road hardware. It is an option for SL buyers who prefer the darker look without moving into one of the more expensive trims.
Powertrain, towing and fuel economy

The Armada uses a body-on-frame chassis, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Most versions are rated at 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. The NISMO increases output to 460 horsepower and has its own suspension, steering and exhaust tuning.
Nissan lists a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds when properly equipped. Actual towing capability depends on the vehicle configuration, passengers, cargo and hitch setup. A Class IV receiver and trailer wiring are standard; PRO-4X, NISMO and Platinum Reserve also include an integrated trailer brake controller.
Nissan lists EPA estimates of 18 mpg combined for rear-wheel drive and 17 mpg for most four-wheel-drive versions, including NISMO. The PRO-4X is rated at 16 mpg combined.
Size, seating and cargo space

For garage planning, the SL measures 209.6 inches long, 79.9 inches wide without mirrors and 77 inches tall, with a 121.1-inch wheelbase. Seven-passenger seating is standard, while an available second-row bench raises capacity to eight on all trims except NISMO. Cargo space is 20.4 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 97.1 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.
2027 Nissan Armada prices and trim choices

Including the $2,275 destination charge, the lineup starts at $66,565 for SL 4×2 and $69,565 for SL 4×4. Platinum 4×4 costs $78,065, PRO-4X is $81,265, NISMO is $82,965 and Platinum Reserve is $86,865. Dark Armor adds $1,900 to either SL configuration.
The PRO-4X remains the choice for buyers who want an electronic locking rear differential, all-terrain tires, metal underbody protection and adaptive air suspension. NISMO targets buyers interested in the higher-output engine and sportier chassis tuning. Dark Armor serves a different purpose: adding its appearance package and moonroof to the less expensive SL.
