The DECKED SUV drawer system is expanding again, this time with versions for the Jeep Wrangler JK and JL and Toyota FJ Cruiser. If your cargo area becomes a pile of tools, recovery equipment and camping gear, this is the kind of accessory worth a closer look.

The Oct. 27 announcement builds on DECKED’s earlier SUV launches. Here’s what owners should know before ordering.

1. Wrangler and FJ Cruiser are the newest additions

DECKED introduced fitments for the fifth-generation Toyota 4Runner and four-door Ford Bronco in July, followed by the sixth-generation 4Runner and Toyota Land Cruiser in September.

The Wrangler and FJ Cruiser now join that lineup. Buyers should confirm their exact vehicle and model year through DECKED’s fitment selector, rather than assume every version of a listed SUV is covered.

2. Storage below, room for gear above

DECKED rates the upper tray for 300 pounds and the single drawer for 150 pounds. Those are the storage system’s limits, not additional vehicle payload.

That distinction matters when packing. The drawer system itself, passengers, accessories and everything else you carry still count toward the SUV’s weight limits. Check the vehicle’s loading information before treating either storage compartment as an invitation to keep adding gear.

The practical appeal is access: smaller items can stay organized below while larger items occupy the top. Think about what you actually carry and measure your tallest cargo before committing to a raised storage platform.

3. Installation uses existing mounting points

According to DECKED, installation takes about 30 minutes using factory tie-down points, without drilling. The system uses high-density polyethylene and stainless steel hardware, and it works with the company’s cases and bins.

We’ve previously covered DECKED’s drawer systems and D-co cases. This announcement concerns the SUV-specific expansion; it isn’t a hands-on test of these new fitments.

4. Security and warranty deserve a closer look

An optional combination lock adds secured storage. DECKED also advertises a lifetime warranty and American manufacturing.

Before buying, check the warranty terms and which accessories are included with your particular system. Pricing was not listed in the announcement, so compare the complete setup you want, including optional locks and organizers, rather than assuming the base system includes everything pictured.

The bottom line

For SUV owners who regularly unload half the cargo area to find one tool, organized drawer storage makes sense. The questions are whether the layout suits your gear, how much cargo height you can spare and what the finished setup costs.

The expanded fitment list gives more owners an option. We’d still want to see how the new versions work in daily use before calling one a must-have.
