The 2027 Jeep Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition answers a popular request from owners: larger tires installed at the factory. Jeep announced the limited-production package Oct. 26 for the Willys, Rubicon and Rubicon X. It offers more than just bigger tires.

“Gladiator customers continue to personalize their vehicles to tackle bigger adventures, and 35-inch tires have consistently been one of the most popular modifications,” said Branden Coté, Jeep CEO. “The Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition gives customers the capability, confidence and distinctive look they want straight from the factory, backed by the quality and engineering expected from the Jeep brand.”

As you might imagine, the focus of the Jeep Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition is a set of 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, but the package adds far more features to increase off-road fun. Those big tires come mounted on unique, bronze-painted 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and the rollers are tucked under highline fender flares with flare extensions. Performance and durability are further enhanced by a unique suspension package that lifts the truck an inch, performance brakes, 4.56 gearing, heavy-duty Dana axles and a full-time 4:1 transfer case.

In terms of appearance, the 2027 Jeep Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition features bronze tow hooks, bronze Jeep badges and package-specific graphics that vary by model. Finally, the Rubicon X with the 35-inch tire package comes with the performance hood and unique graphics around the vents, giving the most capable Gladiator the most distinctive appearance.

Added Capabilities

Adding a set of 35-inch tires to the 2027 Jeep Gladiator gives it a more aggressive look, but this package is all about added capability. When equipped with the 35-inch Tire Launch Edition, the Gladiator has 12.9 inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 46.7 degrees, a departure angle of 26.7 degrees and a breakover angle of 23.3 degrees. Those figures allow the Jeep Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition to climb over obstacles as well as just about any factory package on the market today.

The new 35-inch Tire Launch Edition package is available on three Jeep Gladiator models, Willys, Rubicon and Rubicon X, and you can order these pickups in North America with this big-tire package right now. The company has not stated exactly how many will be built, only that “Production will be limited, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to own a highly distinctive Gladiator that celebrates the capability, customization and adventure at the heart of the Jeep brand.”

Jeep Gives the People What They Want

The Stellantis announcement introducing the Jeep Gladiator 35-inch Tire Launch Edition points out that 35-inch tires are among the most requested upgrades by buyers. Buying larger tires separately does not automatically add the package’s gearing, suspension and brake upgrades. Just like the Jeep Twelve4Twelve models that we recently discussed, this package is all about taking a popular model and adding upgraded components and accessories that owners want, creating exactly the types of packages that the most hardcore enthusiasts are looking for.
