The 2027 Nissan Frontier is not getting a major overhaul, but Nissan is giving its midsize truck a few useful updates for the new model year.

Pricing now starts at $32,490, which is only $340 more than the 2026 model’s $32,150 starting price. For truck shoppers watching every dollar, that modest bump matters.

The 2027 Nissan Frontier starts at $32,490. That is up slightly from the 2026 model, but Nissan is not swinging for a big price jump here.

In a midsize truck market where prices can climb fast, keeping the base Frontier close to last year’s number is a smart move. It keeps the Frontier positioned as a relatively straightforward truck with real V6 power.

New Sport Edition package joins the lineup

The biggest 2027 update is the new Sport Edition package for the SV grade. It is available on both 4×2 and 4×4 models.

This package adds all-terrain wheels and tires, blacked-out exterior pieces and high-contrast yellow stitching inside. Think of it as a middle-ground option for buyers who want more attitude without stepping all the way up to a PRO model.

SV buyers get more tire choices

Nissan is also making an All-Terrain Tire package available on the popular SV grade. That gives buyers another way to make the Frontier look and feel a little more trail-ready.

This is the kind of update that makes sense for the Frontier. Not everyone needs a hardcore off-road trim, but better tires can make a truck more useful for dirt roads, job sites, hunting leases and weekend projects.

PRO grades get a better wireless charger

For 2027, the PRO Convenience package adds an enhanced Qi2-compatible wireless charger. That is not a flashy truck upgrade, but it is one owners will likely appreciate every day.

Modern trucks are rolling offices for a lot of people. A better wireless charger is a small thing, but small conveniences add up when you are spending long days behind the wheel.

A few appearance tweaks round it out

The 2027 Frontier also gets a new Alpine Metallic paint option on select grades. Nissan is also making the moonroof package available on PRO grades equipped with the Convenience package.

None of these changes rewrite the Frontier story, and that is probably the point. The 2027 Nissan Frontier keeps the basic formula intact while adding a few more ways for buyers to personalize the truck.

The bottom line

The 2027 Nissan Frontier is a light-update year, not a reinvention. The price creeps up, the SV gets a more interesting Sport Edition package and Nissan adds a few small convenience and appearance upgrades.
