Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. For this Jeep Wagoneer recall, the upper B-pillar interior trim may not be fully seated and could interfere with the side curtain air bag (SABIC) deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, “Ejection Mitigation.”
A compromised deployment of the SABIC can reduce occupant protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Dealers will inspect and reseat or replace the trim pieces as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 22, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is 76A.
If you own a 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer, be sure to consult the NHTSA recalls portion of the website and type in the specific VIN of your truck to see if this current Jeep Wagoneer recall applies to your vehicle.
