Shell Rotella SuperRigs

Ok, I’ve seen some pretty fancy rigs rolling down the highway on a shiny set of new aftermarket wheels, but I had no idea there were truck shows and competitions for things like best engine or nicest interior. Recently, Publisher Tim Esterdahl attended the 41st Annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition in Gillette, Wyoming, and got some video footage of some really cool custom semi trucks.

About the Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition

The 41st Annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs was held June 8-10 at CAM-PLEX. This is a beauty contest for actively working trucks and truck drivers from across the United States and Canada where trucks compete for more than $25,000 in cash and prizes.

Numerous events and activities honored SuperRigs and the hard working spirit of truckers. Contestants, their families and the community were able to see some of the best-looking and hardest working big rigs in North America, all while enjoying some family fun throughout the three-day event.

Participants competed for 24 awards including Best Chrome, Best Lights and, of course, Best of Show. Twelve deserving drivers were selected to have their trucks featured in the 2024 Shell Rotella SuperRigs Calendar, which will also feature stunning views from the area surrounding Gillette.

Let’s see those trucks!

If you are interested in seeing some really cool semi trucks, check out the video below! I think my favorite part was when all the trucks turned on their lights. It was really hard to pick a favorite, but I think I liked the jade green truck with the oil tanker the best. Wow. What a show.
