Let’s have some fun! Join publisher Tim Esterdahl as he uses the Ford build and price tool to spec out a 2021 Ford Raptor with all of the features he feels are must-haves.
No. However, given the truck’s abilities, suspension and features we can see why someone who lives way out and regularly travels washed out roads might choose one as a daily driver. It really is comfortable off and pavement. Plus, it just looks cool. So, we’ll do a little window shopping.
The starting price for the 2021 Ford Raptor is $64,145. And while this looks like a heck of a lot, we should note it is less than Limited trim. The Raptor is only available with the super crew cab and 5.5-foot bed configuration and will come with Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo high-output EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
All of this will give the Raptor a best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
Coming standard on the Raptor are clearance lights in the front, the big FORD grille, c-channel headlamps and a higher stance and wider width than the regular F-150.
And that’s just getting started.

According to the build and price calculator, the total for this custom beast of a truck would be around $85,270. With $8,500 down the monthly payments would be approximately $1,449. Yes, that’s a mortgage payment for some folks. But if you have the money to buy a Raptor (or Ram TRX) in the first place, you’re probably less worried about that and more concerned about getting the truck you really want. And if Esterdahl was buying a Raptor, this is what he would want.
