The Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator have plenty of talents on hand, and are the defacto standard when it comes to being the perfect blend of off-road capability, and potent lifestyle symbol. But like everything else in life, there is always the desire to achieve more, and this quest for perfection has led to the newest unveiling from Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts (JPP.)
In this instance, it’s an all new factory approved lift kit for both models. While there are plenty of lift kits available in the massive aftermarket that can add some extra ground clearance, this one come straight from FCA which means that it can be fitted to your Jeep without any fear of voiding the warranty. But there is one small catch, with the lift kit only being compatible with EcoDiesel equipped Wrangler and Gladiator models.
“Our comprehensive Jeep portfolio includes more than 500 factory-engineered, quality-tested, off-road performance parts and accessories,” said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, FCA – North America.
The lift kit itself features Fox Shocks on all four corners, front lower control arms, front and rear stabilizer links, front and rear bump stops, various fasteners, as well as a JPP badge. Mopar even goes above and beyond when it comes to shipping the parts to consumers, with all the parts coming in a large reusable wooden crate that features prominent Jeep branding.
A key benefit is that the kit increases suspension articulation by 18 percent, The aluminium Fox monotube shock absorbers were calibrated for increased weight capacity, durability, and cooling during off-road driving. Jeep also claims that the springs were tuned specifically for diesel applications. The front lower control arms are also bigger than the stock ones for better caster settings, heavy duty bushings help improve vehicle control, and also play a key role in providing much of the articulation enhancements for the suspension.
JPP also wanted to do their best to make the installation process easy for customers of all skill levels, with the kit having the ability to be assembled with no cutting, drilling, or welding. The JPP Wrangler lift kit (Part #: 77072399AE) is available for purchase, but Gladiator owners will have to wait a bit longer for their version of the kit (Part #: 77072469AC) with that kit being available later this summer. Both kits have an MSRP of $1,495, but will come with a two year/unlimited miles warranty, or up to the remainder of the vehicle’s broader warranty period.
