2017 Ford Raptor Engine Performance Numbers Leaked

6a00d83451b3c669e2017eea558b9f970d-800wiThe new horsepower and torque numbers for the upcoming 2017 Ford Raptor have apparently been leaked according to the Ford Raptor Forum, an enthusiast forum. If true, these numbers will take the Raptor to a whole new level.

A photo on the site appears to show the advanced dealer information according to the original poster on the site. The specs show the truck is capable of delivering 450 HP at 5,000 RPMs and 510 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 RPMs. This could be quite impressive especially considering the truck will come with a 10-speed transmission as well as the high-output 3.5L turbocharged EcoBoost engine. The combination of the higher multi-speed transmission with a turbocharger could allow Ford engineers to both make it feel quick off the line as well as being more fuel efficient at highway speeds.

If true, these numbers are both better than the previous generations 6.2L V8 with the new engine putting out 39 more HP and an incredible 76 lb-ft of additional torque.

The new truck is expected out soon.
