One upon a time, Cadillac did, in fact, make a pickup truck and called it the Escalade EXT. The pickup was based on the Chevy Avalanche architecture, and it literally looked like an Avalanche with a Cadillac badge.

So, it’s not a far-flung thought to take a modern-day Chevy truck and convert it to a Cadillac.

That’s exactly what a garage in Miami Beach, Florida did.

Starting with a 2021 Chevy Silverado, the garage had to completely rebuild the front end, so the grille, hood lines and fascia are a replica of the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade. The back, however, is pretty much stock Silverado – right down to the new-for-2021 Multi-Flex Tailgate.

With pickup truck segment on the rise and the average transaction price of a pickup truck ringing in at about $50k (which means a lot of people are spending A LOT more than $50k), we think there might just be a market for a luxury lifestyle pickup truck.

What do you think? If would a Cadillac pickup truck fly (not literally) in 2021?
