Short of having a time machine, there’s been no way to get your hands on a brand-new first-generation (1966 to ’71) Broncos for over 47 years. That is, until now.
Hamel, Illinois-based Gateway Bronco has an agreement with Ford that allows them to sell brand-new (with new sheet metal) Broncos, complete with a five-year warranty.
The new Broncos come in three flavors: Fuelie, Coyote Edition and Modern Day Warrior. The Fuelie, powered by a 347 cubic-inch stroker V8, starts at $120,000. Coyote, which packs a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, starts at $150,000. And price for the Modern Day Warrior—also powered by Coyote—begins at a whopping $180,000.
Of course, you get modern tech underneath that vintage-style bodywork. Speaking of bodywork, Gateway deems its own paint and body lines as “laser-straight.” I’ve not gotten close enough to one of the rigs to say either way. But, for the price, they better be.
If you don’t have enough funds to buy a brand-new first-gen Bronco from Gateway Bronco, they will also carefully restore your donor truck, too.
