The 2027 GMC Hummer EV pickup gets a charging change that extends beyond its new yellow special edition: a native NACS inlet becomes standard. Buyers considering the limited-run ICON 25 also get distinctive wheels, serialized badging and a color inspired by the Hummer H2.
GMC’s current consumer page lists expected ICON 25 availability in early 2027. Pricing remains unannounced, so this is a look at confirmed changes rather than a final buying guide.
What makes the ICON 25 edition different?

The package will be offered on 2X and 3X versions of both the pickup and SUV. Its ICON Yellow paint is paired with new 22-inch factory wheels finished in Deep Void and center caps carrying Hummer EV lettering. The pickup’s yellow tailgate and black lettering make the treatment especially easy to spot.
Inside, a numbered badge sits on the passenger side of the instrument panel. Special infotainment graphics reference earlier Hummer models. GMC also introduces an available black interior across the 2027 lineup, so that color choice is not exclusive to ICON 25.
The current GMC announcement promises limited quantities in the U.S. and Canada but does not give a production total or package price. Buyers interested mainly in the charging update will not need the special edition to get it.
NACS charging becomes standard for 2027

All 2027 Hummer EV pickups and SUVs receive the native North American Charging Standard inlet. That is the practical model-year change to weigh when comparing a 2027 truck with remaining 2026 inventory.
Available vehicle-to-home power capability continues. It requires a compatible, adequately charged vehicle, a properly equipped home and GM Energy’s PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit. Installing home-backup equipment is a separate consideration from choosing a paint color or trim.
Powertrain details and what remains unannounced

For the 3X pickup with the optional 24-module battery, GM estimates up to 1,160 horsepower and a 0–60 mph time as low as 2.8 seconds. The acceleration figure measures from initial movement under closed-course conditions. It does not describe every Hummer EV pickup.
GMC’s quoted 13,000 pound-feet is torque at the wheels, not an engine-style torque measurement. Comparing it directly with a gasoline truck’s crankshaft torque would be misleading. Available features include four-wheel steering with CrabWalk and King Crab, adaptive air suspension and removable roof panels.
When can you buy it, and what will it cost?

GMC now lists early 2027 availability for the ICON 25 edition in the U.S. and Canada. No price or production count has been announced. Until ordering details arrive, buyers cannot calculate the premium for the special paint, wheels and badging.
The model-year release does not provide final 2027 prices, range, towing ratings or a dimensions table. Those details still matter for shoppers comparing electric pickups such as the 2027 Rivian R1T. We would wait for the final specification sheet before assuming older-model ratings apply.
