The Ram Trucks brand has just announced that the popular Night Edition pacakge will soon be offered for the Chassis Cab models. Although Chassis Cab trucks are designed to cater to commercial customers who plan to add their own rear section depending on their industry, some of those people want a more stylish work truck and the Night Edition is a great option.
“Our Chassis Cab customers depend on their trucks to perform demanding jobs every day, often at their maximum rated capability,” said Matt VanDyke, CEO of Ram. “The new Chassis Cab Night Edition is more than a tool; it’s a rolling representation of their company and another example of our commitment to offering customers more choice across the Ram lineup.”
Chassis Cab Night Edition Details

The Night Edition has long been a popular option on the Ram 1500 and the consumer-friendly Ram Heavy Duty lineup, adding black trim front to back. For the Ram Chassis Cab, the Night Edition adds an array of black exterior components along with some unique body-colored bits.
The 2027 Ram Chassis Cab Big Horn Night Edition package adds black painted wheels, black badges, black grille inserts, body color grille surround, body color front bumper, body color fender flares, body color door handles, a body color sport hood and both front and rear parking sensors.
For those Chassis Cab buyers who opt for the Laramie models, those trucks already come with the front and rear parking sensors and the body color components mentioned in the Big Horn package, so the Night Edition package for the Laramie only adds the black painted wheels, black badging, black grille trim and sport hood.
Chassis Cab Night Edition Pricing

The Night Edition can be added to the 2027 Ram Chassis Cab in 3500, 4500 or 5500 form and with either the Regular Cab or Crew Cab configuration. For those who go with a Big Horn, the Night Edition package has an MSRP of $2,195 and it can only be equipped when the buyer also selects the Level 1 or Level 2 Popular Equipment Group. For the Laramie models, the Night Edition costs $1,695.
Orders for a 2027 Ram Chassis Cab with the Night Edition package will open during the fourth quarter of this year, with the first units expected to arrive by the end of the year.
2027 Ram Chassis Cab Frame Lengths and Engines

As mentioned above, the 2027 Ram Chassis Cab is offered as a 3500, 4500 or 5500, each with two different cab lengths. Those trucks are also offered with four industry-standard frame lengths, which is measured from the back of the cab to the rear axle – CA 60, CA 84, CA 108 and CA 120. Of course, the exposed rear frame section is ready for upfitting to whatever the owner needs out back, with an array of holes pre-drilled along the chassis to make it easier to add a work box, towing setup or whatever else the owner installs for their work.
The 2027 Ram Chassis Cab is available with two engines – a 6.4-liter Hemi or a 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel. The Hemi offers 375 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque while the Cummins packs 360 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque, both of which come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
