The 2027 Lexus LX adds equipment shoppers will use more often than its off-road hardware: a digital rearview mirror on Premium and easier rear-seat folding on selected trims. Lexus also changes wheel finishes and expands the F SPORT Handling interior choices.

Starting at $109,050 including destination, the LX continues to offer gas and hybrid powertrains. Here is what changes for 2027 and how the major choices affect price, seating and towing.

More convenience comes to the familiar LX lineup

In its September 18 announcement, Lexus says Premium gets darker-finish 20-inch wheels and a standard digital rearview mirror. F SPORT Handling gains standard red front and rear brake calipers and a Palomino interior option.

One-touch auto-arrange power-folding rear seats become standard on F SPORT Handling and Overtrail. Premium buyers can add the feature with the Interior Upgrade package. That distinction is worth checking on a build sheet if you regularly switch between passengers and cargo.

Gas and hybrid power: the towing limit stays 8,000 pounds

The LX 600 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 rated at 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The LX 700h combines a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 with a hybrid system for 457 net horsepower and 583 pound-feet. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Lexus lists an EPA-estimated 20 mpg combined for the hybrid. Its extra output does not raise the advertised towing ceiling: both powertrains are rated to tow up to 8,000 pounds when properly equipped. Buyers should still check payload, tongue weight and the individual vehicle’s equipment before matching it with a trailer.

The 700h also has a useful engineering detail: a separate starter and alternator allow engine-only driving if the hybrid system becomes inoperative. Lexus says the hybrid can use motor-only propulsion in certain low-range off-road situations requiring precise control.

This remains a full-size, body-on-frame SUV on Lexus’s GA-F platform. Active Height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension are standard across the lineup, as is a locking center differential. Overtrail adds front and rear locking differentials to the LX 700h for more demanding terrain.

Cabin layouts deserve as much attention as trim names. The LX lineup includes two- and three-row configurations, while Ultra Luxury is a dedicated four-seat model focused on the rear passengers. On the hybrid, the battery sits under the luggage area in two-row configurations or beneath the third row in three-row versions, and a cargo shelf provides a fold-flat arrangement.

A 12.3-inch upper touchscreen and 7-inch lower display serve infotainment, climate and vehicle controls. The LX 700h also includes a refrigerated console compartment and an AC inverter with up to 2,400 watts of external power capability.

The 2027 LX is expected at dealerships later in 2026. Lexus’s published prices already include its $1,550 delivery, processing and handling fee, so that charge should not be added a second time.

The LX 600 starts at $109,050 for Premium, followed by $116,910 for F SPORT Handling and $117,850 for Luxury. Hybrid pricing begins at $118,055 for the LX 700h Overtrail. The 700h F SPORT Handling is $120,910, Luxury is $121,850 and Ultra Luxury is $143,350. Options and taxes cost extra.

Comparing like-for-like trims makes the hybrid premium clearer: the 700h costs $4,000 more than the 600 in both F SPORT Handling and Luxury. That buys more power and the hybrid-specific equipment, but the same maximum tow rating. The right choice depends on cabin needs, off-road use and the value you put on those features.
