Whether or not you want to call it an SUV is up to you. Rolls-Royce is referring to their forthcoming non-sedan as an all-wheel drive vehicle. Whatever you want to call it, the debut of the Cullinan is on the horizon and buyers are already contacting Rolls-Royce dealerships to put down deposits (and they have been for months).
Three years in testing, the Cullinan is nearing the end of its journey as a prototype. To aid in the countdown to its debut, Rolls-Royce will be teaming up with National Geographic to launch a film series showing the types of terrain the vehicle can conquer.
Called “The Final Challenge,” the series of photographs and video by explorer and photographer Cory Richards, National Geographic’s 2012 Adventurer of the Year, will begin being broadcast on Wednesday, April 4 via social media. The series shows the Cullinan in exotic locations including Austria’s Alpine snowfields, Middle Eastern deserts, the Scottish Highlands, and some of the toughest terrain in the U.S.
