The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is back for 2027 and we’ve had our first look at it being given extensive testing on a desert course.
New Teaser Video

Jeep dropped a teaser video recently showing off the new 2027 Cherokee Trailhawk as engineers put it through its paces. The 17-second video showcases the latest variant of the relatively new KM platform as it works its way through deep sand, three wheels over rocky inclines, and tackles inhospitable desert terrain. It’s unclear if this testing was done at Moab or another location but the new Jeep cuts an aggressive stance while tackling the course.
Limited Details

No specifications have been released and there are no official details from Jeep yet on available power plants, suspension, or drivetrain. Other outlets are reporting a hybrid drivetrain but we have yet to confirm this with Jeep. No additional information has been released beyond the teaser video and announcement.
What We Expect

Previous Cherokee Trailhawks have included upgraded tires, engine and transmission cooling, tow packages, and premium interiors, so we expect something similar here. It remains to be seen if the trim level will also include anything for serious off-roaders, like upgraded skid plates or improved angles of entry and exit. Besides the video, Jeep has only released one teaser image of the new Cherokee.
More to Come

The teaser comes after Jeep’s announcement of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk edition earlier this year. We will be curious to see if any other Jeep models receive the Trailhawk treatment for 2027. Jeep had not responded to our request for additional details as of this posting. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
