# 2027 Chevrolet Colorado pricing: ZR2’s $100 hike has a catch

2027 Chevrolet Colorado pricing is out, with the WT starting at $35,595 including destination. The surprise is the ZR2: its base price rises just $100 over the current 2026 sticker, but matching the outgoing truck’s comfort features costs more.

There is also more power across the lineup. Before calling the ZR2 a bargain, though, take a close look at what Chevrolet moved onto the options list.

## 2027 Chevrolet Colorado pricing by trim

[Chevrolet’s 2027 Colorado page](<https://www.chevrolet.com/trucks/colorado>) lists starting prices before freight. Its [official destination-charge page](<https://www.chevrolet.com/destination-freight-charges>) confirms another $2,095 for both model years. The totals below match [GM Authority’s Oct. 24 pricing breakdown](<https://gmauthority.com/blog/2026/10/here-is-2027-chevy-colorado-pricing-with-options-and-packages/>).

| 2027 Colorado | Base MSRP | With destination |
| --- | --- | --- |
| WT 2WD | $33,500 | $35,595 |
| WT 4WD | $36,700 | $38,795 |
| LT 2WD | $36,900 | $38,995 |
| LT 4WD | $40,300 | $42,395 |
| Trail Boss 4WD | $41,600 | $43,695 |
| Z71 4WD | $45,800 | $47,895 |
| ZR2 4WD | $50,800 | $52,895 |

These are U.S. prices before options, taxes, title, license and dealer fees. They are not out-the-door quotes or advertised discounts. WT and LT buyers should also compare the same drivetrain: the cheapest Colorado is a two-wheel-drive truck.

## The ZR2’s $100 increase comes with an equipment catch

Compared with [Chevrolet’s current 2026 starting prices](<https://www.chevrolet.com/trucks/previous-year/colorado>), the 2027 WT 2WD and Trail Boss each rise $1,100, the LT 2WD rises $900 and the Z71 rises $1,200. The ZR2 moves from $52,795 to $52,895 including destination, a $100 increase. WT 4WD and LT 4WD each rise $1,000, using [the revised October 2026 prices](<https://gmauthority.com/blog/2026/10/some-2026-chevy-colorado-trim-levels-are-getting-more-expensive/>).

That comparison uses the latest 2026 pricing, not the original model-year launch prices. Freight is unchanged, and each comparison keeps the trim and drivetrain the same. Standard equipment is another matter.

As [GM Authority’s equipment-change report explains](<https://gmauthority.com/blog/2026/08/2027-chevy-colorado-zr2-gets-this-equipment-package-change/>), the ZR2 moves previously standard perforated leather-appointed seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, driver memory and wireless charging into Convenience Package III. The package costs $1,320 for 2027. It also adds a new six-way power passenger seat and power passenger lumbar adjustment, which were not standard on the 2026 truck.

Base price plus that package comes to $54,215 including destination, before other options and fees. That is $1,420 above the current 2026 ZR2 base price, with the added passenger-seat functionality. In other words, the $100 headline increase is not an equally equipped comparison.

## Custom is a WT package, and other options add up

Chevrolet displays Custom as a separate model card at $34,645 before destination, or $36,740 with freight. The price is a WT 2WD plus the $1,145 WT Custom Package, which adds black 18-inch wheels and black badging. Custom also appears on Chevrolet’s 2026 page, so it is not a newly introduced 2027 trim.

The separate WT Custom Appearance Package is another $2,150. Do not confuse that dealer-installed bundle with the $1,145 Custom package behind Chevy’s advertised starting price.

A few other notable prices from GM Authority’s package list:

- LT Convenience Package: $3,570.
- Trail Boss Convenience Package II: $2,425.
- ZR2 Bison Edition package: $10,200, including a listed $1,500 package discount.

Those are package prices, not complete-truck totals. Check required combinations and the final equipment list in [Chevrolet’s configurator](<https://www.chevrolet.com/shopping/configurator/trucks/2027/colorado/colorado/model>) before comparing a dealer’s truck with a base MSRP.

## More power is standard, not a ZR2 upgrade

![Engine bay of a previous-model Chevrolet Colorado with a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/colorado-turbomax-news-1.webp>)

Chevrolet now rates the 2027 Colorado’s standard 2.7-liter TurboMax at 350 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. That is 40 horsepower and 20 pound-feet more than the 2026 engine. The upgrade is included on the WT, too; buying a ZR2 is not necessary to get it.

That answers the engine question in our [earlier look at the 2027 Colorado changes](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/2026/08/2027-chevrolet-colorado-changes/>). Chevrolet lists a new turbocharger, updated fuel injection, thermal-management changes and redesigned pistons. Whether that produces a meaningful improvement behind the wheel will take a road test.

The bottom line: more standard power makes the 2027 Colorado worth a look, but compare the truck you actually want to buy. A leftover 2026 with the right equipment and a discount could still be the better deal. For ZR2 shoppers in particular, the comfort-package change matters more than the small increase in the advertised starting price.
