The system combines both a 270-degree swing-out awning and an inflatable rooftop tent into a single carbon-fiber shell that mounts directly to the Wrangler’s roof with no bulky rack required. With rooftop tents growing in popularity among off-road and overland enthusiasts, Jeep and Dometic sought to solve common complaints about added weight and poor aerodynamics. The result is a sleek, low-profile shell that houses Dometic’s AIR Frame Inflation tent technology and includes enough interior space to accommodate a queen-size mattress. For those exploring overlanding setups more broadly, it’s worth noting how established brands like [Roofnest]()have focused on balancing durability, ease of deployment, and aerodynamics, factors that clearly influence newer concept designs like the ARTT. Outfitted for serious multi-day expeditions, the Sunchaser showcases a suite of conceptual gear that pushes the limits of overland capability.
