Every once in a while I get behind the wheel of a vehicle, like the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia in this case, and think this is going to sell no matter what I say. That’s what it is like to review the Toyota Crown Signia.

Why would it sell without my review? It is simply going to be exactly what a practical car shopper is looking for these days.

## **2025 Toyota Crown Signia nails it where it counts**

Toyota is one of the world’s largest automakers for good reason. They build some of the most reliable and pretty basic vehicles on the market. That’s not to say they don’t have some standouts or their vehicles are just plain boring. Well, there was a time you could say that, but not anymore.

This new [Toyota Crown Signia](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/2023/11/2025-toyota-crown-signia-5-things-to-know/>) has just enough styling to be attractive without standing out like an odd duck. Toyota says the exterior is “striking.” I call it just an evolution of their existing product lineup.

It has just enough power for most consumers with the hybrid only choice of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 240 horsepower. More important to most consumers is the 39/37/38 (city/highway/combined) EPA-estimated MPG.

Then, it has enough space inside the cabin for 5 people to squeeze into it. There’s plenty of room up front for two adults, with 8-way power seats with lumber, with the only quirk being an oddly-designed wireless phone charger you lower your phone into. Seriously, it is a pocket built into the center console that you push your phone into since it has plastic prongs to hold your phone in place.

Oh and the dash is lowered just enough to allow a variety of drivers to fit comfortably behind the wheel and the 12.3” infotainment screen is built into the dash rather than riding above it.

The rear has more room than one might expect from a crossover with plenty of space for some suitcases and/or groceries. It would be a tight fit if you were going on a road trip with 5 passengers, but that’s probably not going to happen all that often in this crossover.

## **Colors and trims**

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is limited in the choices of colors and trims to the most popular options. This makes it easy to order and easy for [Toyota](<https://www.toyota.com/>) to build.

For the exterior, it comes in 5 color options (Storm Cloud or Black as standard; Bronze Age, Finish Line Red or Oxygen White as premium paint options for $425). The interior comes in either Black or Saddle Tan.

You get the choice of two trims – XLE and Limited. Both the XLE and Limited are AWD only. And both trims come standard with LED projector low and high beams and LED taillights. Plus, heated power outside mirrors with turn signals, blind spot warning indicators and power-folding are standard.

The XLE has 19-inch wheels, heated and ventilated powered front seats, heated outboard seats in the rear and a six-speaker audio system.

Stepping up to the Limited, you get 21-inch wheels, auto-leveling headlights, fixed glass panoramic roof, 11-speaker JBL audio system, digital rear view mirror, Digital Key with smartphone capability and rain sensing windshield wipers.

There is an available Advanced Technology Package ($1,865) on Limited grade that includes:

- Panoramic View Monitor
- Lane Change Assist
- Traffic Jam Assist
- Front Cross-Traffic Alert
- Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking
- Outer Mirrors with Puddle Lights and Reverse Tilt-Down feature

## **Behind the wheel**

Cruising the roads around the U.S. Mexico border south of San Diego, California, I came away thinking this is yet another winner for Toyota.

It sits up higher than the Crown raised sedan, offers better visibility, great fuel economy and a starting MSRP of $45,345 for the XLE and $49,385 for the Limited with the delivery processing and handling fee of $1,395 included.

Plus, it comes standard with a full suite of Toyota safety features as standard equipment.

So, a mid $45k SUV with good visibility, safety, fuel economy and Toyota reputation for reliability is a slam dunk.

## **The bottom line**

Is it quick? Corners like a sports car? Drives like the best vehicle I’ve driven all year? Nope. Not at all. It is just good enough at all those things that consumers will buy this in droves.
