In fact, for the first quarter this year, [sales for the SUV were up 32.3%]() year-over-year. Since this midsize SUV is slated to be redesigned for 2025 (we [previously reported]() it was 2024), we aren’t going to see many changes for 2024, and at first blush, it looks like there’s a significant price hike for the 2024 Nissan Murano. But it’s more of a streamlining of trims than an actual price hike. ## **A $4k price increase?** On paper, base to base, you’ll notice there is nearly a $4k increase. But Nissan has dropped the base S trim, which started at $34,160 for 2023. Now, the base trim is the SV, and if you look at the 2023 SV vs the 2024 SV, there’s only a $220 increase. Actually, there is only a $220 increase across the board. Pricing below doesn’t include the $1,335 destination fee. Not really. The only other change the 2024 Nissan Murano [press release]() mentions is that a power panoramic roof is now standard on the SL trim. ## **The bottom line** So, it looks like Nissan is just holding the line until it can get that redesigned 2025 Murano out the door. We expect a new powertrain, more tech and a higher level of connectivity as well as a complete redesign.
