The largest part of the conversation centered around the GX and TX, where both Esterdahl and Ciminillo agree the GX is a knockout, but the TX will probably be the money maker. Since TX is built on the same platform as the Toyota Grand Highlander, they even discussed [a comparison]() between the two vehicles’ specs. The question that remains: Does the introduction of the GX mean the Toyota Land Cruiser has a chance to [return to the U.S.]()? Esterdahl dug into the AAA study, which studied the Ford F-150 Lightning and talks about a 25% range loss while towing. Though Ciminillo thinks this is obvious, Esterdahl points out this is worth a discussion because EVs are still so new and people are still learning the ins and outs of them. As a viewer pointed out — gas cars lose about 25% of range while towing as well.
