Finally, we have a teaser to back up the hearsay. Lexus released an image and a [12-word press release]() (if you can call it that), stating: “Something big is coming.” The Lexus TX, presumably a 2024 model, will be based on the [Toyota Grand Highlander](), which means it should be a three-row SUV with some decent third-row legroom. All we see in the teaser image is the rear quarter of the vehicle, which sports a floating roofline and what appears to be an expansive cargo and third-row area. We also see some nicely sculpted lines. If the Grand Highlander is anything to go by, here’s what we can expect with the TX. ## **Lexus TX details** Though Lexus has shared zero details, it’s safe to assume we’ll see a version of the pinched spindle grille on the TX, and some high-end materials and details on the interior. We’ll also see front- and all-wheel-drive options. In addition to usable adult legroom in the third row, the GH gets nearly 100 cubic feet of cargo volume with the seats folded flat, so expect to see something similar on the TX. ![2024 Grand Highlander]() The original teaser image for the third row of the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. (Image courtesy of Toyota Motor Sales) In terms of powertrains, it’s reasonable to expect the TX to get some – if not all – of the engines we see in Grand Highlander. At the very least, we’d expect to see a a base 2.4-liter turbo gas engine and at least one of the hybrid powertrains, likely the high-output “Hybrid Max.” ## ## **The bottom line** The above is just speculation at this point, but now that the Grand Highlander is out, we’ll likely see more details soon on the Lexus TX. But one thing is for sure, it will be roomier than the previous Lexus RX three-row, but less rugged than the upcoming new GX. ![Lexus TX]() The official teaser image of the Lexus TX.
