Rather than having me or Jill test it out, I got the tallest guy I know at 6’8″ to climb into the midsize truck. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is the 4th generation of the midsize truck and it certainly has gotten a lot of attention through the massive amounts of changes and how they seemingly fixed all the issues from the [3rd generation]() as well as the [2022 Toyota Tundra]() redesign. ## **2024 Toyota Tacoma seating position** Yeah, that’s all well and good, but what about the seat. For years, the frustration for the 3rd generation Tacoma has been about the seating position. Many owners claim it is like driving a go kart with its flat seat and straight legs out. I found myself doing a bob and weave to get into the truck and then smacking my head getting out. In other words, it was not ideal. With the 2024 Tacoma, the truck is now taller, the windshield rake angle is less severe and the seating position seems better for people like me at 5’7″ and Managing Editor Jill Ciminillo at 5′ tall. Agreeably, we are not tall. So, Toyota truck communication guy Connor Hoffman volunteered to put these questions to bed by taking his 6’8″ stature and climbing into the truck. Yeah, 6’8″. He’s tall.
