LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Chevrolet 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD Medium-Duty trucks. For this Chevy HD truck recall, the brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause an electrical short-circuit. An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the circuit and increase the risk of a fire while driving or parked. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will replace the master cylinder pressure sensor and inspect the wire harness, replacing it, if necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed May 29, 2023. Second letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM’s number for this recall is N222375270.
