For this Ram recall, a build-up of pressure and heat inside the transmission may result in a transmission fluid leak from the dipstick tube. ### **\[Related content: [Ram recall: 142k trucks recalled for high beam malfunction]()\]** Leaking transmission fluid may contact an ignition source within the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire. The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 30, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is ZA3. In a previous Ram HD recall, we noted there was a [fire hazard involving solid-state intake heater relays]() on diesel models.
