The 2023 Nissan Ariya has to be one of the more eagerly anticipated EVs. It was [introduced in 2020](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/2020/07/nissan-ariya-revealed-without-fanfare/>), some first drives have happened, we’ve [seen it at auto shows](<https://www.tiktok.com/@jillciminillo/video/6985146523612974342?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7147795852559304238>) and, well, we’re still anticipating it. But the good news is: Pricing has now been announced, which means we’ll see it on the streets soon.

### **Pricing range: $44k – $61k**

In a move that is now typical of EVs, the 2023 Ariya will offer both a standard-range and extended-range battery. And, yep, you guessed it the standard-range, front-wheel-drive Engage model is the one with a base price of $44,485, including destination fees. The good news, however: Leveling up to the long-range battery only adds $4k. If you want both longer range *and*all-wheel drive, that will add another $4k, for a total of $52,485.

Full pricing is as follows:

### **![2023 Ariya pricing](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/2023-Nissan-Ariya-pricing.png>)**

### **What are the ranges?**

Digging into [the 2023 Ariya spec sheet](<https://usa.nissannews.com/en-US/releases/release-9eea16a47c78109cfe96b677a003f690>), we see the two battery packs share the same torque numbers (221 pound-feet) but have different horsepower and range numbers. The base 63 kWh pack delivers 214 horsepower and has about 216 miles of range. Whereas the 87 kWh pack pushes out 238 horsepower and either 304 or 289 miles of range, depending on if the model is front- or all-wheel drive.

### **When will we see 2023 Ariya?**

Though we don’t have a specific date, Nissan has said we’ll see the 2023 Ariya hit dealers in the “late fall.” That likely means November. While that might seem really far away, keep in mind October 1 is just around the corner.

The caveat for late fall: This is the timing for the FWD models only. If you want the AWD model, you’re looking at early 2023 – which could mean anywhere from January to June.

### **The bottom line on 2023 Ariya pricing**

While $44k might seem a bit high at first blush – especially compared to the $28k pricing of its little sib, the Leaf. This is solidly in the same range as [the new Chevrolet Blazer EV](<https://pickuptrucktalk.com/2022/07/2024-chevrolet-blazer-ev-5-things-to-know/>), hitting the streets in the summer of 2023.

From what we’ve seen of the 2023 Ariya, this is going to be a game changer for the brand, and we can’t wait to drive it.
