Now we have even more to like with the introduction of the 2023 Escalade-V, which gets more power, better handling and even more tech. But it’ll cost you. So, here’s the five big things you need to know about the 2023 Escalade-V, starting with price. ### **It’ll cost $149,990** When you beef up an already pricey vehicle, of course, the price gets beefier as well. For reference, the base Escalade Luxury trim starts at $77,840, so the 2023 Escalade-V nearly doubles that price tag. However, if you do the trim walk and land on the top-tier Sport Platinum, which has a price tag of $104,865, the $150k price for the Escalade-V makes a bit more sense. ### **It gets a supercharged V-8** The regular Escalade gets a 420-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8. While the 2023 Escalade-V may get an engine with the same displacement, it’s not the same. Instead, it has a hand-built supercharged and intercooled 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers a whopping 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. The supercharger is larger than the one you’ll see in the CT5-V Blackwing, and it spins at up to 13,500 RPM to produce approximately 10 pounds of boost. ### **Impressive 0-to-60-MPH times** In addition to the supercharged V-8, the 2023 Escalade comes standard with a full-time active all-wheel-drive system, which allows for some interesting speeds and sprints – especially considering we’re talking about a vehicle that will weigh 6,217 pounds. So, for 0-to-60-MPH we’re looking at 4.4 seconds, which is sports car territory, and a quarter-mile time of 12.74 seconds at 110 MPH. ![]() The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V’s design amplifies the power within. (Image courtesy of General Motors) ### **Cue the V-Mode** The 2023 Escalade-V comes standard with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension as well as exclusive Escalade-V suspension hardware. But perhaps the best thing for people who really want to customize their driving experience is V-Mode. This is activated via a button on the center console and allows the driver to customize suspension, steering, brake pedal feel, engine sound, AWD and engine performance. There’s even launch control. ### **Packed with tech** All of the good tech features we saw on the regular Escalade transfer over to the 2023 Escalade-V. You have that 38-inch curved display that goes from the behind-the-wheel gauges to the infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 36-speaker AKG Studio 3D surround premium audio system and [Super Cruise]()with trailering and lane-change capabilities. ### **The bottom line on the 2023 Escalade-V** So many automakers, including Cadillac, are promising electrified lineups within the next 10 to 15 years. I can’t help but think this is the supercharged V-8’s last stand. So, if a V-8 engine makes your heart sing, you better get it now because it’s going the way of the Dodo soon. And, I’d bet a pretty penny that this 2023 Escalade-V will be a collector’s item some day. [This souped-up Cadillac SUV]() will be offered in standard and ESV lengths, and it goes on sale this summer. With the materials built upon the Platinum trim and Escalade's signature curved OLED with 38 inches of total diagonal display, the Escalade-V cements itself within the V-Series.
