They took a few minutes out to talk about the difference in size and hopefully help anyone wondering if the best truck for them is a midsize or full-size pickup truck. ### Price difference A lot of people tend to look at [midsize pickup trucks]() because they cost less upfront. And others wonder why they’d go midsize if for just a few thousand more they can have a bigger truck. But choosing between a midsize and [full-size truck]() is about so much more than price. You have to think about how it will fit your lifestyle, whether or not it will fit in your garage if you have one, and how comfortable your rear-seat passengers will be. ### Midsize trucks are not family cars When you have a tall person in the front seat you are not going to [fit a rear-facing car seat]() in the back seat or a tall person. There just isn’t enough space in the back seat. So the back seats of midsize pickup trucks are fine for quick commutes or for cargo, but they won’t be comfortable for a family road trip. A full-size truck has a lot more room in the second row, not just in legroom, but in width as well so you can comfortably fit three-across, even if some of them are adults or kids in bulky car seats. ### Midsize or full-size pickup truck: Size matters Naturally, it’s easier to reach into the bed of a midsize truck, which can be nice for vertically challenged people like Ciminillo. But full-size trucks can haul quite a bit more weight in cargo and of course, they can tow more. So the size of truck that works best for you is really going to depend on how you plan to use it. Midsize trucks fit in most city garages, whereas full-size trucks often do not. Smaller trucks are also less stressful to drive on narrow city streets. Which size works best for you?
