While details are scarce, as one would expect for a truck not due out for a few years, Ram said at the [Stellantis EV Day](), it will bring the truck to market in 2024. The image it teased is naturally a concept, and it looks nothing like the current 1500. This looks much sleeker in profile and likely will follow the [Ford F-150 Lightning]() by offering one cab configuration and bed length to start with more options to follow if consumer demand grows. While specific range numbers weren’t announced, Stellantis did talk about a range estimate of 500 miles on a new “STLA Frame” battery electric vehicle platform. This platform will likely support a variety of vehicles — including a BEV Ram 1500. Ram also said it will offer a fully electrified solution “in the majority of our segments in 2025,” according to *[AutoBlog.com]()*. This likely means their ProMaster and ProMaster City vans will see an electrified powertrain — similar to [the Ford E-Transit](), which is an all-electric version of the Transit. It remains very unlikely HD trucks will have a BEV version due to how consumers use them. ### **The bottom line on an electric Ram 1500** With all things EV, details seem to be scarce. Pricing, towing range, unique features will come at a later date. There will likely be a big build up with reservations being taken and a lot of marketing efforts trying to get consumers to buy into the benefits of an electric truck.
