Dealer leaked photos of 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro By Tim Esterdahl Published: 2021-06-17T20:37:21+00:00 Updated: 2026-08-19T15:46:12+00:00 ![Featured image]() Dealers were shown a special prototype of the next-gen 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and, naturally, they couldn’t keep the news to themselves. Now we finally get to see what Toyota is up to with their new truck. ### **2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro design** From the photos, found on *Tundras.com* and on other social media outlets, we can see this is a TRD Pro with the stamp on the bed, the spelled out Toyota on the grille and the overall style. We were part of a group of journalists who saw this prototype in person and can confirm it is pretty badass. On the front, the LED light bar stands out along with the fog lights as curious design choices and if these make it to production, this would be a first for a half-ton truck to come with the LED light bar as well as the rectangular fog lights. The look is pretty polarizing, which is exactly what Toyota loves to do with their trucks. Coming along the rear, we can see the TRD Pro embossed in the tailgate which is a change since right now the TRD Pro is embossed on the rear quarter panels. The rear embossing really stands out with the way the font is done with the TRD being much larger than the Pro as well as how big it is on the tailgate. Also, standing out on the front and rear are the 3 orange clearance lights. These lights are typically reserved for vehicles as mandated by state laws that are over 80″ wide. Toyota competitors like the Ford Raptor and Ram TRX both use these lights as a way to further distinguish their off-road trucks from their regular ones and it looks like Toyota is planning on following suit as well. While there is still no interior photos, other pics of trim levels, confirmed engines beyond the [iForce Max]() confirmation, pricing or really any details to report besides these images. We do know Toyota plans to have their new half-ton truck on dealer lots by December. Until then, it is going to be more wait and see. ### **The bottom line** More pictures from dealers just drive up the excitement for this truck while really making some people impatient for more, concrete, details on the truck. This the longest we have seen Toyota delay on providing details and we are hoping when they do it is well worth the wait. Right now? Still waiting to see more.
