Then we’ve seen [spy shots]() of what we assumed was the Silverado ZR2. Now it’s confirmed: We’ll see it this fall. Chevy released [a teaser on social media]() that shows truck tires sloshing through mud and ends with the ZR2 logo getting hosed off. The [accompanying press release]() is vague at best, and we’re left with more questions than answers. But if the Colorado ZR2 is anything to go buy, we can expect the Silverado version to be wider and have more off-road ground clearance – Colorado ZR2 is 3.5 inches wider and has a 2-inch lift. We had previously speculated that this might be a Ford Raptor or Ram TRX competitor, but since the spy shots appear to show 33-inch tires, we think this will fall more in line with the Ford Tremor or Ram Rebel trims – but we don’t know that for certain just yet. Assuming it will be a Tremor/Rebel competitor, expect it to fall in the $50k price range. We also think the likely powertrain candidate will be the 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers 420 horsepower. Maybe, *just maybe*, we’ll see the 3.0-liter turbodiesel. ### **The bottom line** I’m sure we’ll start seeing more teasers and spy shots, which will cause more speculation and guessing, but until Chevy actually reveals the truck this fall, your guess is as good as ours. So, what do you think this truck will look like? Will it be a Tremor/Rebel competitor or a Raptor/TRX one?
