From mesmerizing lighting to dazzling details, its vehicles often steal the show. Now, Infiniti has revealed the QX60 Monograph, and while a [virtual reveal]() doesn’t have quite the same punch as seeing something in person, the photos (check out the gallery below) and video have a certain clicky appeal. I know I can’t wait to see more. Other than the pretty pictures, we don’t have much in the way of information to share. But here’s what we do know. [Embedded video]() ### **‘Monograph’ is a fancy way of saying concept** Lest you think this is a production vehicle, it is not. While Infiniti isn’t calling it a concept car – and took time during the reveal to explain what “monograph” means (“a detailed study of a single subject”) – it’s a concept car. In other words, what you see here isn’t necessarily exactly what you’ll get. However, it should give you a really good idea of the direction the QX60 is heading – even if some of the granular details don’t make it into production. ![QX60 Monograph]() The Infiniti QX60 Monograph (Image courtesy of Infiniti) What we do expect to see: the floating roofline, pop-out door handles, the general profile and the shape of the headlights and taillights. What we don’t expect to see: the piano key lighting on the daytime running lights, the intricate inner mesh of the grille and the general liquidity of the design – we expect to see a few more lines. But we could be wrong. ![The Infiniti QX60 Monograph]() The Infiniti QX60 Monograph (Image courtesy of Infiniti) ### **Production reveal is in 2021** The QX60 Monograph goes on physical display this weekend at the Beijing Motor Show – which is allowing in-person visits. But because this is a design study of the exterior, the windows will likely be blacked out. This also means we’ll probably see another “reveal” sometime soon that showcases a monograph of the interior before the production model makes its official debut. We don’t know exactly when the production model will be revealed, but Infiniti has loosely said 2021, and this means the production QX60 might be a 2022 model. ### **You can see it in 3D** Because so many people will be unable to travel and see the QX60 Monograph in person, Infiniti has made it possible for you to click on the QR code above and get access to an augmented reality on [its website](). It’ll let you place the QX60 on your street, in your garage or (in my case) in your hallway so you can see what it looks like from every angle. It’s a cool mini experience, and I had fun seeing where I could put it – like next my computer or on my husband’s head – which I’m sure is not the intended purpose. But it was cool to basically be able to stand over the vehicle, rotate it and look at it from various angles. ![QX60 Monograph]() Infiniti QX60 Monograph (Image courtesy of Infiniti) ### **The bottom line on the QX60 Monograph** This is yet another stunning display from Infiniti, and I for one can’t wait to see what the production model of the QX60 looks like. We’ve heard rumors that Infiniti is going to become more of a “Nissan Plus” brand similar to what Acura is to Honda, but if these photos are anything to go by, we’re calling bull shit. Infiniti will be poised to continue as a full-on luxury brand and give the likes of Mercedes, BMW and Audi a true run for their money.
