We also discuss a possible new interior for the 2022 Silverado as well as any powertrain changes. [Embedded video]() As you will see in the video, the truck is a bit of a mix of a Chevy Silverado and [GMC]() Sierra as is often the case with test mules. The bed side step looks like a clear addition to this truck coming down from the HD models. We also expect a new interior copying the [Chevy Tahoe]() and [GMC Yukon]() respectively for each half-ton truck. Combined with a less polarizing, hopefully, front grille, the side bed step, a newly reported MultiPro tailgate coming to the Silverado and a new interior, the 2022 Chevy Silverado should address the common complaints from its critics. With the full-size truck market still on fire, these changes can’t come to soon in our opinion. The recent revealing of a new Ford F-150, the Ram Rebel TRX and a host of new competitors with EV trucks means GM is going to face increasing competition. The 2019 Chevy Silverado was a big investment for GM and while they nailed plenty of things like the work truck trims, the Trail Boss and the powertrain, design sure dropped the ball to some degree. Customers and critics alike have talked about the lack of dazzling interior and missing features like adaptive cruise control. Hopefully, for GM’s sake, this truck really addresses those shortcomings and can keep the automaker in the black with the profits from their truck division. What do you think?
