Chevrolet has the Colorado ZR2, Jeep has the Gladiator Rubicon, and the Tacoma really shines with the TRD Pro Package. However, the Ford Ranger has not offered buyers that same option ever since it made its U.S. return a few years ago. There’s of course the Ranger Raptor, but Ford is still stubbornly keeping it an international market only offering. The folks at [Roush]() are keen to appeal to the impatient masses, and have created an all new upgrade package for the Ranger. We’ll admit, it’s still not the formal Ranger Raptor U.S. buyers are craving, but it’s still a welcome step in the right direction. Roush designers updated the exterior styling to have a bit more presence and included items such as new fender flares painted in Magnetic Gray, dual LED headlights, custom red tow hooks, package exclusive puddle lights, a graphics package that comes complete with an American flag, and a Roush adorned front grille that bears a strong resemblance to the Raptor’s. The interior also gets its own share of custom touches including quilted leather seats with ROUSH logos embroidered in the headrests, fitted WeatherTech floor liners, and enhanced interior storage. With all the upgrades offered by the exterior and the interior, performance enhancements are not quite as extensive. Roush does equip the Ranger with Fox shocks and 32-inch Grabber AT/X tires, but Roush chose to leave the stock 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder alone. It still makes 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, but Roush was kind enough to enhance the soundtrack slightly with an all new catback exhaust system and stainless steel exhaust tips. Buyers looking to add the Roush package to their purchase will have to shell out an additional $12,750 on top of the price of a new Ranger. Roush did not reveal if the package will be limited to specific models or not, but assuming that all models of the Ranger are covered, the most affordable 4×2 model in the lineup is $24,110. That should roughly translate to the cheapest Roush Ranger starting at $36,860 before options are factored into the equation.
