Pirelli launched its new Scorpion All Terrain Plus tire today. The All Terrain Plus joins other Pirelli Scorpion AT tire offerings, which feature compounds and tread designed to maximize performance on- and off-road. “This strategy,” said Marco Crola, Chief Executive Officer for Pirelli Tire North America, “also calls for the diversification of products and services, based on the needs of specific markets and customer groups within those markets. The new Scorpion All Terrain Plus, which completes our product portfolio, goes in this direction: meeting the specific needs of pick-up truck and SUV drivers.” The new tire, which was designed especially for the North American market, is available in 16 to 20-inch sizes and has the tree snowflakes marking on it indicating that it is suitable for winter driving conditions. It has been optimized to be hard-wearing and has a high resistance to cutting and chipping. Pirelli says that the tire offers “excellent” traction in the mud and snow. The tire is designed to force small stones out of its tread using ejectors. ![Pirelli Launches New All-Terrain Tire for Pickup Trucks and SUVs]()Most of the Scorpion AT tire line is available to order now. The full product range will be available in the third quarter of this year.
