Also, Nissan is offering a great warranty with bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000 miles whichever comes first. The warranty is meant to really entice customers to give them a shot and it is an interesting marketing tool. Along with the warranty, the XD also gets customers attention with the 5.0L V8 Cummins engine mated to a heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission producing 555 lb-ft of torque and capable of towing 12,640 pounds. The Canton, Mississippi truck fits an interesting niche in the consumer segment and while sales have been slow to start, this could heat up in the fleet side. For example, a 2017 Ford F-250 starts at $32,535 ($1,760 more than the Titan and 13,300 lbs of towing – base 6.2L V8 gas 2WD 3.73 SRW conventional towing). It will take some time for Nissan to establish a truck fleet business, however, their van business has been steadily creating a niche.
